Happy Thanksgiving
Mary O'Connor, 2010 President
What a delight it was seeing all of you in Salado at the BST
Annual Conference. We had a good turn out. Thank you all for
supporting your society. My goal for the coming year is to
increase awareness of BST in Texas. We need new young blood in
our field. I encourage all of you to try to identify possible
new members and encourage them to attend the conference to be
held in Houston in October of 2010. Our best growth will be by
word of mouth. We all work in the field and need to spread the
news that we exist.
We have scholarships available to help students defray the
cost of attending the conference. Anyone can reach BST through
our web site at bstx.org. We also pay students fees to attend
the conference if they present. This is a big opportunity for
students. Please share this information to anyone you think
could use it.
I look forward to serving the membership this year and
welcome any input to help our society grow and prosper.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
