Message from the President

Greetings BST members,

Natalie Thomas, our Program Chair, has done a final call for papers and presentations for our October conference. Please submit yours! She has a wonderful program lined up for us in our favorite venue, Salado's Stagecoach Inn. Mark your calendar.

We are having our next Board Meeting in Salado as well to finalize the conference details on May 16th. Board Members please plan on attending!

We continue with our outreach to students and other disciplines including the Texas Occupational Therapy Association. If you have connections and contacts, please refer them to our website and BST membership. Let's continue to spread the word!

For those of you that went to the AAPB in New Mexico, I hope you had a grand time, learned new skills and made connections. Lora Chandler continues to advocate for the Texas Biofeedback Society at these events and we appreciate her doing so!!

I hope this message finds you happy and healthy as well as doing well in biofeedback. I have been blessed in my current position at Pate Rehabilitation doing biofeedback for persons with brain injuries. If you are having trouble on the job hunt, check out our website. Use the links to our partners like the BCIA. They have job postings regularly. The BST members are also a wonderful resource!

The BST Board is looking forward to a successful October Conference. It will be our 35th Annual BST Conference in beautiful Salado, Texas. See you there!!

Jana Downum, LPC
BST President

At the present time, I am providing counseling for children, adults and marriage. Approximately, 10 percent of my clients are receiving biofeedback therapy. I have been a member of Association of Applied Biofeedback and Psychophysiology for about 30 years. I once offered a short course for the AAPB Meeting on facilitating a work hardening program pain management group.
