BST President’s Message

Greetings to all Members of BST and Interested Colleagues

Spring is Natures Way of Saying, "Let's Party."  --Robin Williams

And we are going to party! Your program committee for the annual conference to be held in Salado, Texas, October 12-14th has been hard at work. The program chair, Jana Downum, is putting together a wonderful lineup of speakers. Topics will include both EEG and peripheral biofeedback. (We listened to your comments about last year.) We will have an ethics workshop on Friday the 12th along with another EEG workshop on that day.

As of now, we have the following speakers who have agreed to present:
* Dr. Eugenia Bodenhamer-Davis
* Dr. Penny Montgomery, Keynote on Saturday at the luncheons
* Dr. Penny Montgomery, Keynote on Saturday at the luncheon
* Mary O'Connor, REEG/EPT
* Two students from UNT
* Dr. I. Jon Russell, Sunday workshop on Fibromyalgia
* Dr. Gabriel Tan

Plans are still in the works but our "relaxation theme for professionals" is coming together. Good self-care for those of us who provide care for others is important and we will pamper you and encourage you to pamper yourself.

Remember the challenge I issued at last year's conference: Bring one colleague who is not an active member with you to Salado.

We need to grow our membership if we are to remain a viable group committed to the practice of biofeedback with our patients and the continued learning from fellow professionals.

Be on the lookout for more news later this month from the Biofeedback Society of Texas.
