Second Call For Nominations

As part of the duties of past president I am chair of the nominations committee this year.  I would like you to consider volunteering for service on the BST Board of Directors. New terms will begin this October at our annual meeting.  Board service can be professionally and personally rewarding and can open up new directions in your career.  If you have any interest at all, even casual questions about what a board member is responsible for, please contact me at randy@nebletthome.com.
I promise that if you just have questions, or are unsure about your interest, that I won't pressure you!  I hope to hear from you.

DR. PENNY MONTGOMERY TO SPEAK AT OCTOBER CONFERENCE

The program for our Biofeedback Society of Texas Conference in October, 2007 is coming together.  Your will be interested in seeing presentations by Dr. Penny Montgomery.  She is a founding member and past president of Biofeedback Society of Texas and is delighted to be coming home!

Her Friday, October 12th workshop is entitled "Why Neurofeedback Works, (as I understand it)".  Abstract:  Neurofeedback appears to be beneficial to people with all sorts of brain damage and dysfunction.  Additionally, EEG feedback equipment processes the signal in a variety of ways and yet positive results are reported.  Protocols vary with practitioners and positive results are reported.  It seems that there is no "right way" to conduct neurofeedback training to get positive results.  How can that be?  This workshop will explore this phenomenon and suggest ways to enhance outcomes.

Dr. Montgomery will also be giving the Keynote Luncheon address during the conference on Saturday, October 13th  about "Neurofeedback: Past, Present and Future".  Abstract:  A brief review of the beginnings of neurofeedback to the present and  what she believes will insure a solid future in these changing times.

Make your plans to come to the conference in beautiful Salado!

Thank you,

Jana Downum, LPC, BCIA, Program Chair
