BST President’s Message
from Randy Neblett

I would like to announce that the board has hired Mardie Barnard as our new Administrative Assistant. Olivia Jarrett has resigned her administrative position with BST. She has been an active member of our organization for many years. No one has worked harder or devoted more time to keeping BST strong and running smoothly. Olivia will remain on the 2006 conference program committee and will continue to provide input to the board as a consultant.

Mardie will help the board manage the day-to-day business of the society. She has past secretarial experience with two other professional organizations with 1000 members, including bookkeeping, newsletter editing, and organizing board meetings and annual conferences. She currently runs a home business. Please welcome her.

One of Mardie’s first projects will be to help us update everyone’s personal information so that we can send conference updates and complete a directory. We have begun using Constant Contact for BST email updates. This is the same service that AAPB uses for their email updates. A newsletter was sent to all of our members on April 19. If you didn’t receive this letter then we have an incorrect email address for you. Please update your email (and any other incorrect information) with Mardie ASAP so that you can get all of our conference updates and BST news. Attached is a sheet with the information we have on you, along with the abbreviation listing. If you do not have access to email, then let Mardie know, so that that we can send updates to you through the post office.

Please don’t wait to update your personal information. We’ve been working on this directory and on this email system for months, and we’re ready to move things forward.

If you have any questions,
you can email me or Mardie.
